Quadnet is pure action. You control a ship on a square grid, and you'll have to shoot bouncing spheres while trying not to collide into them. As you destroy the spheres, more of them will appear, and so the pace of the game will gradually pick up. The control scheme is quite unique; you'll use one hand to pilot your ship, and the other to direct your shots, and this allows to move and shoot in independent directions. It can take a while getting used to, but it provides a feeling of frenzied activity as you mash the keys.

The graphics are simple and low-res, but look sharp. The tilting motion of the playing grid as your ship moves about is a nice touch, although it can obscure your view of what's hapenning at the edges. There's also a techno soundtrack appropriate for the pace of the game. Quadnet is great if you're looking for a quick game to squeeze into a few minutes, and the action never gets old.
